The eye clinic is the department of the hospital that provides a wide range of specialist, optometric and optical services. Being the only eye center in the Tano North District, we are committed to providing high quality, comprehensive and affordable eye care to all our clients. The unit is well equipped and takes pride in its well trained and friendly professional staff who are ready, at all times, to meet the unique needs of all clients. As a team, our staffs are committed to making eye care accessible and affordable to all, regardless of demographic status. The Consulting Room, Visual Acuity Room and the Refraction Room of the eye unit is currently located at the Reproductive and Child Health Unit of the hospital, and the optical showroom and workshop is located at the ground floor of the Hospital Administration Block. Dr. Christopher Senyo Adzaho is a self-motivated and result-driven optometrist who enjoys
using his expertise to further organizational goals while inspiring others to do the same.
He holds a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science andTechnology (KNUST), Ghana. After graduating, he served as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the Department of Optometry and Visual Science, KNUST. His exceptional leadership qualities and clinical skills earned him the Head of the Teaching Assistants, and was in charge of the day-to-day running of the Department Eye Clinic.
Christopher is a dynamic optometrist who seeks to make high-quality and affordable eye care available to all, regardless of socio-economic background. His passion for promoting good eye health enabled him to serve excellently as the Health and Outreach Head of the Optometry Students Association of Ghana, KNUST, for two years. Aside from his current facility, he also joins several organizations, focusing on providing health care to the less privileged in the society on several medical outreaches.
He currently serves as the Head of the Eye Department of the St. John of God Hospital and is pursuing a Master of Public Health degree at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Dr. Adzaho’s exceptionally cordial relationship with clients and co-workers has contributed to the eye unit seeing a considerable rise in patient attendance and positive feedback.
His personal values and the philosophy that directs him in his work are derived from Colossians 3:23-24, ‘and whatsoever you do, do it sincerely, as to the Lord, and not unto men; knowing that of the Lord, you shall receive the reward of the inheritance.’ He enjoys working within teams that are focused on results, and that work together to provide exceptional and innovative healthcare to improve general health and well-being
