Laboratory Manager
Francis Agyei Amponsah is a registered Medical Laboratory Scientist with over 10 years working experience in the laboratory. He is a product of Ghana Senior High School, Koforidua and holds both a BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology and MPhil in Haematology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. He is keen on professional development and has certificate in Good Clinical Practice, Leadership and management, etc. Currently, he has six (6) publications in peer-reviewed journals. He serves on numerous committees within the hospital and beyond (vice chairman of the Ghana Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists- Ahafo Region). He is committed to ensuring the highest standard of laboratory services to clients both within the Tano-North municipality and beyond. As the Tano North Municipal Laboratory Focal person, he was instrumental in the setting up of laboratories in the following health centres: Duayaw Nkwanta, Terchire and Adrobaa. Being guided by the philosophy that a great leader is the one who is barely known, he always ensures that there is proper delegation of roles within the department in the full realization of its set objectives. He is also keen in the professional development of his colleagues within the department and thus have instituted departmental in-service training programs since he also believes that the success of a leader is measured by the quality of those he leads.
By way of leisure, he delights in listening to music, watching and playing football, reading and playing computer games.
