Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is a multi-unit department positioned to deliver quality healthcare to our clients to improve and/or maintain their functional independence. It comprises of Physiotherapy, Occupational, Orthotics and Prosthetics units.

The Department is one of the back bones of the Orthopaedic services rendered by St. John of God Hospital.

The mission of the Department is to provide cutting edge health care in the areas of preventive, curative and rehabilitative services to its clienteles with the available resources to enhance the Quality of life (QOL) of our clients.

The members of staff in the department have the expertise and diligently render the following services: In and out-patient physiotherapy, orthotics and prosthetics, occupational therapy, health promotion/education, community outreach services and fitness clinic.

Our quality of service has made us the headquarters for clubfoot management in Ghana and a key department in the training of Physiotherapy Assistance at St. John of God College of Health.

The Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Department is indeed a one-stop health provider in area of physical medicine and our clients our ultimately satisfied with our services.
